THIS YEAR, 2008, the Sponsors reception will be held on Friday July 4th at Holimont with the Nelson Star Dance Band, the Buffalo Philharmonic on Saturday July 5th and the Rock concert  featuring the Little River Band (www.littleriverband.com), will be held on Sunday July 6th.  The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, will be performing light classical for the first set and the music of Harry Potter for the second set with an amazing firework display ending the night.  On the evening of Thursday July 3rd there will be free live entertainment at the Gazebo.  On Friday, July 4th Ellicottville will be celebrating the Bicentennial of Cattaraugus County with a picnic, music and entertainment reminiscent of the 1800's at the Village Gazebo.   Rounding out the weekend is an Arts and Craft show from 10-5pm Saturday and Sunday on Jefferson Street, an annual pet parade at 11am on Washington Street on Saturday, and a rock climbing wall Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday will also be the day for The Tour of Historic Homes and Sunday will feature the return of the very popular Strawberry Festival.
